Margin Trading with an LLC brokerage account

Hi, kind of a weird question I have
If you were to open an investment account for an LLC in your state, do partners still only risk up to 100% of what their investment into the company is when trading on margin?
So say a friend and myself open an LLC and throw $20,000 each into a trading account with margin and we lose more than 100% of the investment, would the partners owe more than 100% like they would in a personal account?

How much does allowing users to trade on margins cost a brokerage?

Hey everyone, I have been researching this question for a while and I’m having trouble locating sources to create even a ballpark estimate. Any answer would help!
Between monitoring account value, maintenance margins, margin calls, forced liquidations, etc. how much does it cost from an administrative standpoint and pure capital standpoint to allow users to trade on margins?
Any answer or direction to the answer would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Should I open up a margin account with my brokerage firm (E*Trade) or should I just outright borrow the money from my bank?

I would like to get back in to doing some investing on my own. I'm looking at some ETFs with a couple that pay dividends, but the primary focus would be for capital appreciation. I would like it to be able to help with purchasing a condo/townhome in Southern California (or at the very least, help with paying HOA dues). I don't anticipate taking on many risky positions (short selling, writing options, futures, etc). What are the pros and cons or what should I consider between whether to borrow from the brokerage or borrow from my bank. Or should I just pick whoever offers the better rate?

Does margin only apply to new trades in a recently upgraded margin brokerage account?

I recently upgraded an individual etrade account to a margin account and wanted to ask if the current stocks I have in the account are still considered "bought" using only my own money, that is, etrade margin will only be applied to future trades I conduct on margin. I haven't conducted any new trades since upgrading.
I am confused because etrade lists a dollar amount currently available for withdraw, which is equal to my cash plus an amount listed as "margin." Am I correct in assuming that this "margin" available for withdraw is only the excess value of my current stocks over the maintenance margin requirement? I want to ensure that I haven't slipped up some way and am currently using etrade funds bearing interest. Cheers!

Best Online Brokerage For Options Trading On Margin (Vertical Spreads)

Hey Guys,
Which Online Brokerage is best for Canadians in terms of Options trading via vertical spreads? I am still learning/studying options trading and I understand I would need a margin account to carry out spreads. I won't be jumping in yet but I do want to know what the best option is for when I do. I am looking for a brokerage that has cheap commissions and reasonable minimum account bal (to qualify for Margin). Is Interactive Brokers the best we have access to (around $1 per contract, no assignment fee and minimum $2000 USD for margin)?

Would you guys suggest LightSpeed Trading as a brokerage for a margin account?

I've been looking to start trading, and I am specifically interested in this brokerage. Anyone have the pros and cons? I would like fast execution and a pretty good available short inventory. Edit: Looking for primarily penny stock brokers. Also, I have around $2000 to put in.

Deposit a check? Brokerages would let you trade the amount deposited as well as full margin, but not let you access the money otherwise.

Allowed to trade it fully, but not allowed to spend it. As in, they saw the funds as legit enough to trade, but not legit enough for you to use otherwise.

Thinking about adding margin trading to my brokerage account. What do I need to know?

Pros/Cons?
Things to look out for?
I've been investing casually for years, but I want to step it up. I'm slowly getting into "day-trading with about 30 trades in the last 90 days. I'm hoping that by borrowing a little more capital, I can enjoy some bigger gains.

When you die, your debt dies too

I was forced to flair it shitpost just in case.. but hear me out. I think I found a very cool very legal way of becoming guaranteed millionaires with no risk, while sticking it to fucking brokers and debt collections agencies.
Fuck those vultures, your tax dollars bailed out most of the former group anyway
Here's the plan
  1. Find an even number of homeless people who still have social security numbers (and haven't filed for a bankruptcy yet). Better yet, drug addicts. This is the hardest step. Say you found 2.
  2. Open brokerages in their names, fund it with small amounts. Say 5-10k each. Become their financial advisor.
  3. Find a highly volatile derivative on a highly volatile security. Say oil futures
  4. Go long in one set of accounts, short in another. One account goes negative, other might go to 6-7 figures.
  5. Take profits on the winner, ignore margin calls in the other.
Also works with terminal relatives and cancer patients.
Edit: I now have more awards on a shitpost from an alt than my 7 yo real account. Thank you fellow autists! In case any degenerate is taking this seriously, I have a very rare, covid repelling amulet to sell you

Edit 2: Fuck I wonder if shopify will let me sell those amulets online. TAM is yuuuuge so many of you OD'ed on vaccines as a baby. For future reference a "trading strategy" that begins with homeless drug addicts is not an advice or suggestion, nor is any other post that might fit the plot of It's always sunny in Philadelphia. Upvote 💩and go back to flippin' burgers. I will not respond to DMs.

Zerodha vs Fyers. Which is better?

Where do you park your cash?

I have a decent sized amount in a brokerage account, but only use about half of it at any given time for trading. Is there a good ETF for stock to park that money for conservative gains/capital preservation?
